Nail Challenge Collaborative presents: Spring Colors - Palace blue floral

Hi all!

One of the spring colours in the list (to see it scroll all the way down) is called Palace blue. It is a gorgeous blue and I own the perfect polish to represent it! I combined it with black and white floral stamping.

Polishes:
  • Essence - 11 instant match
  • Kaleidoscope - Stamping 01 Black
  • Essence - 33 wild white ways
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

I also used Bundle Monster's BM-S324.

Base: 2 coats of Instant match (though it is opaque in 1). I stamped in black and then filled it out in white on the stamper itself before stamping it onto my nail. Ended with Elemental Ward.

I adore this blue polish, it is just the perfect blue. And it combined great with this black and white floral.

What's your favourite blue polish? Let me know!

Love, Brethil

26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Wedding

Hi all!

It's been a while since I joined this challenge. But I'm picking it up again! Today everyone's inspiration is Weddings! I went with something delicate and nude.

Polishes:
  • Essence - 35 engaged
  • Kaleidoscope - Stamping 81 Bisque
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

I also used stamping plate BPL-026 from Born Pretty Store. This is one of my favourite stamping plates.

Base: 2 coats of Engaged. I stamped using Bisque and ended with Elemental Ward.

I really like stamping with a similar colour as the base, it turns the nail art into something delicate.

Nail Challenge Collaborative presents: Spring Colors - Ikat Stamping

*Press sample*

Hi all!

This month is all about the Pantone Spring Colors (scroll all the way down to see them). The two Essence polishes I used remind me of Blooming Dahlia. I've also tried out two Born Pretty Store items they kindly sent to me for review. The first is plastic stamping plate BC-04 (item 42047-1) that came with a regular firm stamper and scraper.

Polishes:
  • Essence - 98 pure beauty
  • Essence - 107 rosewood forest
  • Kaleidoscope - Stamping 01 black
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

I tried to scan the stamping plate like I usually do, but it did not show up the images that well. So I also stamped (using the firm stamper that came with it) to show you all the images.

The plate has a mix of images, some lacy designs, some variations on scales and a couple of random ones really.

Base: two coats of Pure beauty. I added some distressed swipes with Rosewood forest on top before stamping the ikat image. Ended with a coat of Elemental Ward.

I've been so used to a more squishy stamper, that using a firm one like this is quite difficult for me. You just have to work quickly (and in one smooth movement, unlike I did on my thumb).

Comparing the plastic stamping plate to my ordinary metal ones, I prefer metal plates. It is much easier to see the design and I have the impression they work better as well.

Born Pretty Store kindly gave me a discount code to share with you all! If you use code BBL91 you get 10% off your purchase! You can find their nail art products here! And they offer worldwide free shipping!

The Digit-al Dozen does Inspired By Each Other Week - Neon

Hi all!

This last inspired by mani is inspired by this Neon design done by my fellow Dutch blogger Manis & Makeovers.

Polishes:
  • Essence - 33 wild white ways
  • Barry M - GNP13 Papaya
  • Barry M - GNP18 Mango
  • Kaleidoscope - stamping 01 black
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

I also used Hēhē stamping plate 073.

Base: 2 coats of colour. I stamped with black, then added the colour onto the stamper and transferred it to slightly damp layer of top coat. Sealed everything in with Elemental Ward.

I quite like this neony combo with black and white, it's very striking.

Keeping this short, have a lovely weekend!

Love, Brethil

The Digit-al Dozen does Inspired By Each Other Week - Watercolour stamping

Hi all!

This mani is inspired by this watercolour stamping mani from Kimett Kolor. I have a bunch of these watercolour polishes, but I had never stamped with them before. And they do stamp!

Polishes:
  • Essence - 33 wild white ways
  • Born Pretty Store - DH02 The Morning Rays
  • Essence - 01 absolute pure + a few drops of turquoise (homemade watercolour polish)
  • Kaleidoscope - Aquarelle tints 03
  • Kaleidoscope - Aquarelle tints 05

  • Kaleidoscope - Aquarelle tints 07
  • Kaleidoscope - Aquarelle tints 08
  • Kaleidoscope - Aquarelle tints 10
  • Kaleidoscope - Aquarelle tints 11
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

I also used Hēhē stamping plate 108.

Base: 2 coats of wild white ways. Using all the watercolour polishes I stamped the splotch image onto all nails, layer after layer. I ended with a coat of Elemental Ward.

I absolutely adore the end result! Will you be trying to stamp with this type of polish?

Love, Brethil

The Digit-al Dozen does Inspired By Each Other Week - Black Leopard

Hi all!

Today's mani is inspired by Polish Those Nails Abstract Before The Storm mani. It reminded me of leopard print, even if it wasn't meant as a leopard print.

Polishes:
  • Foxy Paws - Some People Have Real Problems
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Dark Matter
  • Mundo de Unas - 34 Dark Grey
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

I also used Hēhē stamping plate 076.

Base: 2 coats of Some People Have Real Problems. I stamped the leopard print, first with Dark Matter and on my accent nails also with Dark Grey. Ended with Elemental Ward.

With the sun shining outside a lot lately, I do need to wear holos more.

The Digit-al Dozen does Inspired By Each Other Week - Spring Leaves

Hi all!

Today, my mani is inspired by Painted Fingertips Spring Leaves mani. I had intended for this to have a darker base, but as you'll see I totally forgot the polish I used as my base is a thermal. So I just went with it...

Polishes:
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Whoever Said I Was Merciful?
  • Kaleidoscope - Stamping 80 light green
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

I also used Bundle Monster's BM-S226 stamping plate.

Base: 2 coats of Whoever Said I Was Merciful?. I stamped with the light green stamping polish and the leafy image on top. Ended with Elemental Ward.

Because it's rather warm here, I had to stand in front of a fan to cool down my nails. I didn't want to fiddle around with water.

The Digit-al Dozen does Inspired By Each Other Week - Cacti

Hi all!

It's been a while since I posted anything. I've been on holiday for 3 weeks and had the flu, which left me with little energy to write blog posts. But it's Digit-al dozen week again, so expect a post each weekday! This week is all about being inspired about the other DD members! I'm starting this week with cacti! Inspired by The Polished Koi's mani.

Polishes:
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Breath of the Wildlings
  • Essence - LE Tribal Summer - 01 WAKA-WAKA
  • Essence - 106 free hugs
  • Essence - 83 pretty cool life
  • Essence - 161 ciao oliviero

Polishes:
  • Essence - 150 upper green side
  • Essence - 159 the green & the grunge
  • Essence - 139 walk on the wild side
  • Essence - 160 deep sea, baby
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

I also used Bundle Monster's BM-S327 stamping plate.

Base: 2 coats of Breath of the Wildlings. I used the black Kaleidoscope stamping polish (that I forgot to photograph) to stamp with. Using all the other polishes I coloured the image while it was still on the stamper. I added a coat of Elemental Ward and when it was still a bit tacky I stamped the coloured image on. Added more Elemental Ward to seal it all in.

I just love the contrast of the pink blooms...

Bonus image: the cinderella hand!

I absolutely adored this mani and I wore it for an entire week....

Love, Brethil
